There are some people who can take large concepts and make them relatable. Alan Watts is one of those people, he makes spirituality simple, and I love him for it.
“Alan Watts (6 January 1915 – 16 November 1973) was a British philosopher, writer and speaker known for interpreting and popularising Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism for a Western audience.” –Wikipedia

The creators of South Park illustrated an Alan Watts lecture, and it’s profound. I watched this for the first time over a decade ago and still think of it often. It imprinted upon me, it’s wisdom never left me.
This is my other fav. Alan Watts video.
He is retelling a Chinese Proverb that illustrates trusting the flow of life in such a simple way.
I know you want more Alan Watts. There are TONS of recorded lectures for free on YouTube .

He has also written 25+ books. I haven’t read any of his books yet, but the folks over at Reddit recommend starting with “The Way of Zen”. I’ll write up a review when I get around to reading it.
Do you have a favorite Alan Watts lecture? I wanna hear it, let me know in the comments below.
